Classic Mountain Chai is a traditional loose-leaf (100g) chai masala blend inspired by the Himalayas but a favorite drink across Israel, from the mountains of the Golan to the beaches of Eilat.
A mix of ginger, cinnamon, cardamom, cloves, and black tea, and of course, never any added aromas or flavors.
Simply brew approximately one tablespoon of the blend with one cup of milk (or milk substitute) per serving, preferably on a low simmer for about 10-15 minutes. The smell will fill your kitchen with an incredible aroma.
*Note, brewing only with water is definitely an option, but you will be missing out on some of the treasures that come alive through brewing in milk/milk substitute. Enjoy with friends :)
